When stuck at home during the coronavirus quarantine and not able to eat much of anything these days, finding the right foods and combinations is critical, not only for survival but for optimal health.
That’s where this mint chocolate chip smoothie recipe comes in and can make you feel like you’re cheating when you’re not. It’s not only made of whole foods, but is sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, and preservative-free.
Ingredients
1 cup fresh organic spinach
1/4 organic avocado
1 teaspoon Pyure Sweetener
2 tablespoons cocoa nibs
2 to 4 drops doTERRA peppermint oil
1. Put all the ingredients in the blender, except for the peppermint oil.
NOTE: Any kind of essential oil should only be put in a glass, ceramic, or metal container. If your blender is one of those, you can add the oil before blending. If it’s plastic, you have to wait and put the oil in once you’ve poured the smoothie into your drinking container.
2. Put on a Smoothie setting or on high until completely puréed.
3. Pour smoothie into a tall metal, glass or ceramic mug.
4. Add 2 to 4 drops of peppermint oil and stir before drinking. (If blender uses a plastic container) Enjoy!
